How to motivate yourself to workout when you really don't want to...



Have you started thinking about 2023?


Have you started reflecting on this year and deciding how you want next year to look in comparison?


At this point, I think most people don't necessarily give in to the whole "new year, new me" mindset.


But I do think at some level we all see the new year as a fresh start. A chance to re-evaluate our goals and to get excited about what could be ahead of us.


That's all well and good. But I can almost guarantee that fresh new year "motivation" will only last a month or two. Three months at best. After that, motivation alone won't do.


We need something more sustainable.


Something that gets us out of bed when it's dark and cold outside and the idea of leaving our bed makes us miserable.


Something that gets us to put on our gym clothes, leave the house and get to the gym even when we are busy with the family, with life, with work etc.


Motivation won't do that. HABIT will.


And how do we build good habits? Through CONSISTENCY.


This is true for fitness, and its true for almost any goal you have in life.
